Ecolytical Ethos…
So what are our ethics and morals that we strive for Ecolytical to live up to? Well the big one is of course focused on plastic. We were horrified to learn in school that there is predicted to be more plastic than fish in our oceans by 2050. This kickstarted our own personal drive to reduce plastic consumption began our dream of an Eco-conscious business. Ecolytical primarily sends parcels plastic-free and will only occasionally use plastic in the form of second-hand bubblewrap that has been donated to us by family & friends – we believe this is better than dumping it straight in landfill without the chance to be re-purposed.
A second facet of Ecolytical is our drive to ensure all our material are sustainable, vegan, and in the case of our beeswax, organic. Our main material is limestone powder mixed to make concrete, this comes from sustainably sourced quarries. Our candle waxes are vegan soy wax, a clean-burning, biodegradable wax, or beeswax which we source from a local couple who practice ethical beekeeping.
Finally, our last aim is that we provide products that are affordable and can be enjoyed by everyone. We have jobs outside of Ecolytical so are blessed to be able to use this hobby provide what we can to those who want to make their homes more sustainable whilst not breaking the bank. We try not to over-charge our customers and don’t forget, there’s always a secret 20% discount available to those who ask for it!
